IPL Photofacial – STELLAR M22
IPL PHOTOFACIAL WITH LUMENIS STELLAR M22 LASER
The Stellar M22™ uses OPT® (Optimal Pulse Technology) to deliver high peak power, shorter pulses – making it optimal for IPL skin treatments using photo-rejuvenation and the treatment of benign pigmented lesions.
Stellar IPL photofacial treatment targets brown and red pigment in the skin. They can also target the bacteria that causes acne, reducing its severity, along with stimulating collagen production, to help firm skin and reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
Stellar IPL treatments can be done on the face, neck, chest, arms, and the backs of hands.
The MSP™ (multiple-sequential pulse) technology allows for cooling a patient’s skin in between pulses, therefore reducing the possibility of skin damage during treatments.
The six different ResurFX™ CoolScan™ shapes with changeable sizes and densities allow for both treatment precision and enhanced control.
You treatment plan will be determine after on site evaluation of your skin lesions. Depending on the spots depth you may need 2-3 treatments. Some spots may comeback after a period of time. Proper SPF protection is required post treatment. We will recommend you post treatment home regimen to enhanced the results of your treatments. What to expect after IPL treatments?
Shortly after treatment, the unwanted pigment granules (melanin) have been thoroughly fragmented without damage to the surrounding tissue. Vascular lesions (spider veins) also coagulate and shrink, many of them disappearing altogether. Skin tone and texture improve as a result of heat deposits into the tissue.
In the weeks after treatment, the now tiny melanin particles are eliminated by your body’s own little “clean up” system that absorbs fragmented pigment. Little or no trace of the initial pigmentation spots or spidery veins remain.
Because the treatment is gentle, there is no interruption of routine activities. Pigment rises to the surface and looks and feels a bit like coffee grounds. Let them exfoliate naturally to avoid interfering with the process which takes generally a little under a week.
There are a variety of ways to reduce pigmentation and improve sun damage. Each patient will have a different and individualized recommendation. Your skin type will likely respond better to one type of treatment over another.
Combined protocols is often recommended for the best results. CryoPen, Thermoclear RF, CoolPeel CO2, Fractional Resurfacing, Plasma Pen and ZO skin care may be recommended in combination with IPL phototherapy or even instead due to various nature of the skin pigments and uneven tone.
