Revision D·E·J BioStim™ in Charlotte, NC

A professional topical biostimulator designed to support your skin's natural collagen and elastin production — without injections.

D·E·J BioStim™ Treatment Solution by Revision Skincare is applied topically in professional layers, more like a peel than an injectable. The goal is improved firmness, elasticity, fine lines, texture, pores and luminosity with minimal downtime.

  • Skin longevity

Topical Biostimulation

Collagen support without needles or filler.

BioStim occupies an interesting space between a traditional professional peel and injectable biostimulation: topical application, little interruption to your schedule, and a treatment goal centered on visible skin quality rather than added facial volume.

What Is D·E·J BioStim?

D·E·J BioStim™ Treatment Solution is a professional-only topical treatment from Revision Skincare. Revision describes it as a topical biostimulator clinically studied to support the skin's natural production of collagen and elastin while visibly improving firmness, elasticity and overall skin quality.

Its patent-pending dual-action approach combines antioxidant phytoacids with a multi-acid delivery system. The solution is applied topically in layers. It does not require needles and it does not place filler beneath the skin.

That distinction is important: BioStim is designed to improve the appearance and behavior of the skin itself. It does not restore facial volume the way an injectable filler does.

Skin Quality + Longevity

What Can Revision BioStim Improve?

The treatment is most compelling when the goal is healthier-looking, firmer and more resilient skin rather than facial volume replacement.

01 · Firmness

Visible Skin Laxity

Supports a firmer, more lifted-looking appearance as part of a progressive collagen-focused treatment plan.

02 · Elasticity

Thinner, Less Resilient Skin

Designed to support collagen and elastin — two structural proteins associated with skin firmness and elastic recoil.

03 · Lines

Fine Lines & Wrinkles

Revision's clinical study reported visible improvement in fine lines and wrinkles following a professional treatment series.

04 · Texture

Rough or Uneven Texture

Useful when skin looks less smooth or refined but aggressive resurfacing is not necessary or desired.

05 · Pores

Visible Pore Appearance

Manufacturer clinical data reported improvement in the visible appearance of pores after a treatment series.

06 · Glow

Dull, Fatigued-Looking Skin

Designed to improve luminosity while maintaining a relatively low-downtime treatment experience.

Manufacturer Clinical Study

Visible Improvement After a 3-Treatment Series

In Revision Skincare's 12-week clinical study, D·E·J BioStim was evaluated as a series of three treatments performed at four-week intervals.

78% Firmness
88% Fine Lines
88% Texture
91% Pore Appearance

Manufacturer-reported study data on file with Revision Skincare. Individual results vary. Percentages refer to subjects showing visible improvement in the measured category and do not represent guaranteed improvement for every client.

The D·E·J

Why Is It Called D·E·J BioStim?

D·E·J stands for the dermal-epidermal junction — the interface between the epidermis and dermis. This region plays an important structural and signaling role in healthy skin and becomes flatter and less organized with age.

Revision built its D·E·J skin-longevity platform around supporting proteins associated with this junction and overall skin structure. BioStim extends that concept into a professional in-office treatment.

  • Professional-only topical application
  • No injectable filler
  • No microneedles required for the standalone treatment
  • Antioxidant phytoacids + multi-acid delivery system
  • Minimal expected peeling for most clients

BioStim Enhancement

Add BioStim to a Personalized Skin Treatment Plan

BioStim can also be incorporated into a broader treatment strategy when another technology is addressing a different part of the skin problem. The objective is not to stack treatments unnecessarily — it is to combine complementary mechanisms when the skin can benefit.

01

BioStim + SkinPen Microneedling

SkinPen creates controlled micro-injury to initiate collagen remodeling for acne scars, pores and texture. BioStim can be coordinated with a SkinPen treatment plan when the additional goal is firmness, elasticity and overall skin quality.

02

BioStim + IPL / BBL Photofacial

IPL and BBL primarily address visible brown pigment, sun damage, redness and vascular discoloration. BioStim can complement that color correction by focusing on firmness, texture and luminosity.

Explore IPL / BBL →
03

BioStim + Dermaplane

Dermaplaning removes superficial buildup and peach fuzz for an immediately smoother surface. BioStim may be incorporated when the goal extends beyond polish and glow toward progressive firmness and skin-quality support.

04

BioStim + Q-Switch Nd:YAG

Q-Switch treatment can target selected unwanted pigment and discoloration. BioStim can be used within a coordinated plan when the client also wants improved luminosity, texture and firmness.

05

BioStim + LegendPro

LegendPro treatments can be selected for RF-based skin rejuvenation and collagen-focused treatment. BioStim gives us a topical option to build a more complete skin-quality plan around firmness, elasticity and luminosity.

06

BioStim as a Standalone Series

BioStim does not need another device to be useful. A standalone series is an option for clients who want a needle-free, low-downtime collagen and elastin-focused treatment.

Important: “Add-on” does not always mean that every procedure is performed immediately one after another. Same-day versus staged treatment is selected according to the procedure, skin condition, treatment intensity and post-procedure barrier status.

D·E·J Daily Boosting Serum®

Think of BioStim as the professional treatment — and D·E·J Daily Boosting Serum as the daily homecare that helps keep the same skin-longevity conversation going between appointments.

Revision Skincare designed D·E·J Daily Boosting Serum® to boost cellular energy at the dermal-epidermal junction while supporting proteins associated with healthier-looking, more resilient skin. With daily use, it is designed to visibly improve firmness, fine lines and wrinkles, radiance, texture and tone.

It does not replace an in-office BioStim series. Instead, it gives clients a consistent at-home step focused on the same larger goal: maintaining stronger-looking, smoother and more energized skin over time.

Supports Cellular Energy Revision's patented Sunflower Sprout Extract technology is designed to support mitochondrial activity and skin energy.
Firmness + Elasticity Supports the skin's natural production of multiple DEJ proteins, including collagen and elastin.
Fine Lines + Texture Daily use is clinically studied for smoother texture and a reduction in the visible appearance of fine lines.
Radiance + Tone Helps fatigued-looking skin appear more luminous, refreshed and visibly even over time.
Key technologies: Patented Sunflower Sprout Extract · antioxidant blend · Iris Florentina Root Extract · postbiotic blend · tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate · resveratrol · sodium hyaluronate.
How to use at home: Apply after cleansing as the Target & Correct serum step, then follow with moisturizer and broad-spectrum SPF in the morning. When you have had SkinPen, IPL/BBL, Q-Switch, LegendPro or another procedure, restart active homecare only when your provider says the skin is ready — not automatically immediately after treatment.

What To Expect

Revision BioStim Treatment & Recovery

BioStim is designed to be a relatively easy treatment to integrate into a busy schedule, although it is still an active professional treatment and mild post-treatment changes can occur.

01

Skin Preparation

Revision recommends preparing skin for 1–2 weeks and pausing retinoids and AHA/BHA/PHA products before treatment.

02

Layered Application

BioStim is applied topically. Mild burning, itching, stinging or tingling can occur while layers are applied.

03

Early Recovery

Temporary pinkness may occur. Some clients experience mild dryness, tightness, itching or light flaking during the following days.

04

Progressive Results

Revision recommends three treatments spaced 2–4 weeks apart, with maintenance approximately every four months.

Experience + Treatment Planning

BioStim Is Most Useful When It Has a Job to Do

Nina Crytser has worked in medical aesthetics since 2003, with experience across microneedling, light-based treatments, laser technologies, resurfacing and professional skin treatments.

That makes BioStim especially useful as part of a broader skin longevity strategy. If pigment is the primary problem, IPL/BBL or Q-Switch may need to lead the plan. If acne scarring and texture are primary, SkinPen or another collagen-remodeling treatment may be more important. BioStim can then be used when firmness, elasticity and overall skin quality also deserve attention.

“The goal is not to add another treatment just because we can. The goal is to choose complementary treatments that make sense for what your skin actually needs.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Revision D·E·J BioStim FAQs

What is Revision D·E·J BioStim?
D·E·J BioStim is a professional-only topical treatment from Revision Skincare. It is designed to support the skin's natural collagen and elastin production and visibly improve firmness, elasticity, fine lines, texture, pores and luminosity.
Is BioStim an injectable?
No. BioStim is applied topically and does not inject product beneath the skin. It should not be confused with injectable biostimulators such as PLLA- or calcium-hydroxylapatite-based products.
Is Revision BioStim a chemical peel?
It applies in professional layers and contains a multi-acid delivery system, so the treatment experience has similarities to a peel. Revision positions it differently, however, because the primary goal is topical biostimulation with visible improvement in firmness, elasticity and skin quality rather than exfoliation alone.
How many BioStim treatments do I need?
Revision recommends a series of three treatments spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Maintenance treatment approximately every four months may be used after the initial series.
Is there downtime after BioStim?
Downtime is generally minimal. Temporary redness may occur during or shortly after application. Mild dryness, tightness, itching or light flaking can occur in the days afterward and usually resolves within approximately one week.
Can BioStim be used with SkinPen microneedling?
BioStim can be coordinated with a SkinPen treatment plan when the goals include both collagen remodeling and overall skin-quality support. The timing is individualized; it should not be assumed that BioStim is automatically applied immediately after every microneedling treatment.
Can BioStim be paired with IPL or BBL?
Yes, the treatments can play complementary roles in a broader plan. IPL/BBL focuses primarily on visible pigment and redness while BioStim focuses on firmness, texture, elasticity and luminosity. Same-day versus staged timing depends on treatment intensity and how the skin responds.
Can BioStim be combined with dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning addresses superficial buildup and peach fuzz, while BioStim is used for progressive skin-quality goals. The combination or sequence is selected according to skin sensitivity and the professional treatment protocol.
Can BioStim be used with Q-Switch or LegendPro treatments?
BioStim may be incorporated into a broader plan with Q-Switch or LegendPro when multiple concerns are being addressed. The treatments are not automatically stacked in the same appointment; timing is based on treatment intensity and skin recovery.
Is BioStim suitable for darker skin tones?
Revision states that BioStim is suitable for all skin tones, including deeper skin tones prone to hyperpigmentation. Individual assessment is still important, especially when BioStim is being coordinated with laser, light or other resurfacing treatments.
Who should not have BioStim?
Revision notes that it may not be suitable for very sensitive skin, active cold sores, pregnancy or nursing, ingredient allergies, or certain prescription or over-the-counter medication situations. The formula contains salicylic acid, so aspirin or salicylate allergy is an important consideration.
What should I use at home between BioStim treatments?
D·E·J Daily Boosting Serum® is the natural at-home companion to a BioStim-focused skin longevity plan. It is designed for daily use after cleansing to support cellular energy and visibly improve firmness, fine lines, texture, radiance and tone. After laser, light-based treatments or microneedling, restart the serum only when your provider says your skin is ready to resume active skincare.
Where can I get Revision BioStim near Ballantyne or Waverly?

Felt Heard for the First Time

When you consult an expert about any issue, it is not just the technical knowledge that matters. The philosophy of practice guides the selection of methods and products. Nina is a good example of an artisan who approaches any issue at hand with a holistic approach that is not limited to topical manipulation but rather encourages overall wellness. She is most attentive to what you seek as well as the limitations of products and technologies you are willing to use. A delight to have an intelligent conversation with, particularly, if you come from a practical clinical background.

    Nina is amazing!

I had laser hair removal with Nina about ten years ago. I remember being extremely nervous, but ended up having the best experience. I am so happy with the hair removal results, never shaved again! Since then, I keep coming back to Nina for other beauty services and loving the results! I cannot thank Nina enough for her professionalism, best suggestions, attention to detail, and personalized approach to all my requests. I have been recommending Nina to friends and family and always receiving bunch of thanks. Most recently, had a first session of IPL laser and RF microneedling, and just finished the recovery. Loving the results! Can’t wait for next session!

    Skin Care Services

I've always assumed I'd have to endure acne issues for the rest of my life. I'm in my early twenties and have had terrible acne for as long as I can remember. I've gone to every dermatologist in Charlotte, and after just one treatment with Nina, I began to see results. My skin has been a never-ending battle up until I started going here. It's affordable (I'm job hunting and can still manage coming here once a month), and it works like magic. I've had tiny acne bumps and constant painful breakouts all over my face for as long as I can remember, and not one doctor has been able to alleviate them or make them go away altogether. Nina can take each patient and customize their treatments, so there's a guarantee there are results. I wear my hair back and haven't touched my makeup drawer since my first treatment.
